Oslo, Norway -- August 5, 2019 -- Nordic Semiconductor announced that tianjin-based Nordic Nordic technologies ltd. has chosen to use its nRF52832 Low Energy /Bluetooth LE system-level chip (SoC) to provide wireless connectivity to its drug distributor/manager platform, the HiPee smart health medicine box, to complement its smartphone applications.

This lightweight, compact HiPee smart health kit is fda-certified, with Nordic SoC's low power bluetooth connectivity that syncates with iOS and android-compatible apps (developed on WeChat app-enabled) on smartphones with bluetooth 4.0 or later.Once the medicine box Settings are configured from the app, the HiPee smart medicine box automatically emits light and sound alerts at pre-arranged times to remind the user to take the correct medicine from the medicine box. When the lid is opened, the corresponding four compartments light up with a green light indicating which medication the user should take.If you open the box before the time to take the medicine, it triggers a red light, reducing the risk of retaking the medicine. The boxes can also automatically generate usage records and wirelessly provide data in the application to help users develop good medication habits.

In addition, as long as users scan the barcode of the packaging of the medicine box with WeChat program connected with Hipee intelligent medicine box, they can quickly add the medicine plan, and the type, dosage and medication frequency of the medicine can be conveniently set. This information is then displayed on the medicine box when used.

The HiPee smart health kit is powered by a button battery that takes about three months to replace, and its savings include the Nordic SoC's ultra-low power consumption.NRF52832 features 2.4ghz radio 5.5ma peak RX/TX current and automatic power management system, designed to minimize power consumption.Compared with Nordic nRF51 series SoC, nRF52832 reduces power consumption by up to 80%.

Nordic's nRF52832 multiprotocol SoC combines a 64MHz 32-bit Arm®Cortex®M4F processor with 2.4GHz multiprotocol radio (bluetooth 5, ANT™ and proprietary 2.4GHz RF protocol software) with -96 dB RX sensitivity, 512kB Flash memory, and 64kB RAM.

This SoC comes with the Nordic S132 stack, a bluetooth 5 certified RF software stack for building advanced low power bluetooth applications. The Nordic software architecture provides a clear separation between RF protocol software and fruit technology application code, simplifying the development process and ensuring that the stack is not corrupted when application code is developed, compiled, tested, and validated. The S132 protocol stack features central, peripheral, broadcaster and observer low power bluetooth roles, supporting up to 20 connections and concurrent role operations.

"Nordic nRF52832 SoC brings the high storage capacity, low power consumption and compact physical size that we've seen in HiPee smart boxes," said he xin, co-founder of fruit technologies."This SoC also comes with several key software features, including a clear software architecture, Nordic protocol stacks, ota-dfu capabilities for wireless devices, and Nordic's comprehensive software development suite (SDK) that greatly accelerates the development process."

"Nordic groups provide a much more comprehensive set of technical information and reference designs than other low-power bluetooth companies."
