The competition between Intel and AMD for processors extends not only to personal computers but also to servers and embedded devices.Recently, AMD held a press conference, AMD officially announced the Ryzen R1000 series embedded single-chip processor.Compared with previous V1000 products, R1000 adopts Zen architecture and dual-core 4-thread design, which can run without fans and can provide up to 3-way 4K@60 video and audio output.

AMD says the Ryzen Embedded R1000 single-chip processor provides better performance and security with low power consumption and is ideal for digital display, high-performance edge computing, networking, and client side products.Currently, manufacturers including asus, asrock, gemdale, Netronome and Quixant have begun to develop products based on Ryzen Embedded R1000.

AMD further stated that as the embedded industry needs a more immersive and engaging visual experience, customers need processors capable of supporting high-resolution displays with demanding graphics. As a result, AMD's Ryzen Embedded R1000 single chip processor supports up to three 4K displays and up to 60 FPS, along with h. 265 encoding/decoding (10b) and VP9 decoding (3) capabilities. This enables oems and odms to provide a compelling visual experience.

In addition, the Ryzen Embedded R1000 single-chip processor USES the same leading security features as the AMD Embedded family, including Secure Root of Trust and Secure Run Technology, to provide customers with the ability to implement security solutions whether they will connect to edge computing networks or perform digital display functions.

The AMD Ryzen Embedded R1000 single-chip processor will be available this season for ODM and OEM worldwide and is currently supported by numerous hardware and software companies, including asus, asrock, asun, DFI, iBase, MEN, Mentor, Sapphire, zSpace, and more.
